I had a growing awareness of food. I suffered from digestive issues and food sensitivities, and as a result, I had been highly conscious of what food entered my body. However, I noticed no matter how healthy I ate, my stomach still felt sensitive, my skin still broke out, and I consistently felt anxious and irritable. In addition, I eventually became a competitive athlete running Division I track and field at UC Berkeley and was still learning how to fuel myself properly. Before attaining my qualifications, it was clear that I was following the masses on what being healthy meant. I wasn’t respecting my cellular bio-individuality, my stressors, and the relationship I had with food.
After mastering the disciplines of nutrition and the culinary arts, my hormones and digestive system operate better than ever.
